Pushing Boundaries. Shaping Frequencies. Electrifying Dance Floors.

Just when it seems electro house has nothing new to offer, ShortSirkit emerges with a sound that’s raw, relentless, and entirely his own. Hailing from Salt Lake City, this genre-bending DJ and producer fuses elements of electro, house, metal, bass, and beyond—creating layered, high-voltage sets and productions that challenge expectations and ignite dance floors.

Born Josh Lewis, ShortSirkit first made waves in Utah’s underground as the guitarist of local metal band Abidan. After the band disbanded, he honored a promise made to his late mother: he would make music his life’s work. That promise brought him into the world of electronic music, where he found inspiration at a local rave and later a performance by deadmau5 that sealed his new direction.

Behind the decks, ShortSirkit is nothing short of explosive. Known for his high-intensity mixing style—sometimes weaving through over 40 tracks in a single hour—he commands the stage with technical precision and reckless creativity. Every transition is calculated. Every moment, intentional. His approach is guided by one mantra: "If it sounds good, that’s all that matters."

Since his debut in 2012 at Salt Lake City's Mojos, ShortSirkit has taken the stage at major venues like The Complex, Saltair, and Club Sound, and festivals including Foam Wonderland. He’s also crossed state lines, performing in Denver at a Mardi Gras event hosted by Nightsneak.

As a producer, ShortSirkit’s journey has been marked by evolution and experimentation. His breakout track “Masterclass” marked a turning point in his studio work, followed by the hard-hitting “Night Sparks” and the cerebral electro banger “Capacitor,” which helped solidify his sonic identity. With each release, he further blurs the line between underground grit and festival-ready energy.

In a time when mainstream EDM is often formulaic, ShortSirkit is a much-needed disruptor—an artist who breaks the rules without losing the crowd. His sound is bold, dynamic, and unpredictable—yet undeniably accessible.

With new music on the way and a stage presence that continues to turn heads, ShortSirkit is an artist to watch closely. His story is still being written, but one thing is certain: he’s not following a path—he’s making his own.
